Welcome to the Lead-Deadwood
School website. Our mission is that "our students will
graduate equipped with the skills needed to be successful
and responsible citizens." As students leave the
Lead-Deadwood School District in the 21st Century, it is
critical that learners of all abilities have been challenged
to maximize their potential. Curriculum offerings and
learning experiences must prepare students to compete in a
changing and expanding world environment. We believe that
being curriculum driven is essential in providing an
educational environment and the type of learning experiences
necessary for students to meet the future with confidence
and high expectation.
The Board of Education and
Administration must support students, teachers, and
classified staff with the intent of creating high morale and
a safe, accountable learning environment, which fosters
positive parent, staff, and community involvement. We strive
to make decisions based on the overall goals of the
curriculum and that are grounded in the principles set forth
within the mission and vision of the district. Thank you!
